21 Reasons For Minimalism
Let’s define minimalism. From the root word minimal, which means smallest amount or very little quantity.
Minimalism is living on this planet with only the things you need. For me it is very subjective. What is simple to me might not be simple to you so it really depends on how subtle or how extreme you want to be.
In this post, I will give you 20 reasons and a bonus or additional reason why people want to become minimalists.

1. Less Clutter
The first reason why people become minimalist is to have less physical clutter. If you have less clutter, you’ll get a cleaner house or home.
2. Less Excess Mental Baggage
Second, they will have less excess mental baggage. They will no longer think about a lot of things.
3. Less Insecurity
Third, they will never be insecure of people anymore. People who own the best stuff.
4. Less Stress
The fourth reason is that they’ll have less stress. Their debts will no longer be accumulating. They will have more balance in their lives.
5. Less Panic
Fifth, they will have less panic on choosing what clothes to wear every day.
6. More Time
Sixth, they’ll have more time to focus on more important things. I am tired of spending hours and sleepless nights shopping on apps and websites. And end up buying cheap and unnecessary things.
7. More Creative
Seventh reason is people want to be more creative. Looking at people who have perfect lives doesn’t make them feel jealous anymore. Instead, minimalism help then be more creative.
8. More Quality
Eight, is to have more great quality of items on hand. Great quality is always better than quantity. Stop buying cheap and bad quality products. Invest in more expensive but high-grade items that you need.
9. More Space
The ninth reason why people are becoming minimalists nowadays is to have more space. People will no longer own 20 pairs of shoes or 50 handbags lying around in their house on shelves or on shoe racks so they will have more space in their houses. They will have more space or room to extend their legs and move around their houses.
10. Improved Relationships
The 10th reason is that people want to have improved relationships. Because they will have more time and energy to spend with their family, friends and relatives.
11. More Energy
The 11th reason why people are becoming minimalists is to have more energy. They no longer feel tired in doing the dishes because they only have a little amount of dishes and cutlery.
12. Help Earth
The 12th reason is that they want to have a better Earth to live in. They want to help make Earth better. Since they will no longer buy fast fashion and consume unnecessary stuff, they will reduce their environmental impact.
13. Self-discovery
The 13th reason is they want to have a better understanding of who they are. They will be able to determine which things add value to their lives and which did not.
14. More Appreciation
The 14th reason why people want to become minimalists is because they want to have more appreciation for what they have and kept.
15. More Self-confidence
The 15th reason why people are becoming minimalists is because they want to have more self-confidence. Owning more good quality stuff can boost their self-confidence. They will also realize that trendy clothes and the latest gadgets do not define who they are.
16. Feel Peaceful
The 16th reason is to feel more peaceful. Suddenly, people feel more calm in doing chores, activities and workouts.

The 17th reason is to feel satisfied. People will learn how to feel like they have enough. Because they will no longer have that constant feeling of wanting unnecessary stuff.

People also want to become minimalists because minimalism makes it easier for them to stay organized. Keeping clutter out is easier without the actual clutter.

People want more money or they want to save money. If they stop buying cheap products in bulk, they will save more money in the long run.
21. Easier Cleanup
The 21st reason why people are becoming minimalists is faster and easier house cleaning. They will no longer have so much stuff lying on the floor or inside the closets or on the tables so dusting mopping and sweeping will be faster and easier.
